When it comes to newborn photography, there's no shortage of adorable accessories and props that can help to create beautiful and memorable photos. From cosy blankets to cute hats and headbands, there are plenty of options to choose from. But when it comes to a photoshoot that is done in the comfort of your home, there are some accessories that can be particularly useful.

Here are some of the top accessories to consider for a successful newborn photoshoot at home:

2. Hats and Headbands

Hats and headbands are a fun and cute way to add some personality and style to your newborn photos. They can be used to match a theme or colour scheme, or simply to add a pop of colour or texture. When choosing hats and headbands, make sure that they fit comfortably and securely on the baby's head, and avoid anything that might be too tight or constricting. We don’t provide the headbands, but we can recommend these places to find some you like!

4. Sentimental Items

Finally, consider including any sentimental items in your newborn photos. This might include a special blanket or toy, or even a family heirloom that has been passed down through generations. These items can add a personal and meaningful touch to your photos, and help to capture the unique personality and history of your family.

  1. Wraps and Swaddles

Wraps and swaddles are essential items for any newborn photoshoot. They not only help to keep the baby comfortable and warm, but they also provide a simple and neutral background for the photos. When choosing wraps and swaddles, opt for soft and stretchy materials that won't irritate the baby's delicate skin. Here at Grain & Weave, we provide a range of different swaddle wraps, muslins and textured blankets at all our photoshoots.

3. Baskets and Props

Baskets and other props can be a great way to add some variety and interest to your newborn photos. They can be used to create different poses and angles, and can help to showcase your baby's size and features. When choosing baskets and props, we recommend going for items that are safe and sturdy, and that won't overwhelm or overshadow baby.

When planning a newborn photoshoot in home, it's important to consider both the safety and comfort of the baby, as well as the aesthetic and creative elements of the photos. With the right accessories and props, you can create beautiful and memorable photos that will be treasured for years to come. We love to make those memories become pieces of art that adorns your walls forever.
