Safety Action Plan

All year round we are thinking about your family’s safety and our photographer’s safety too, when it comes to colds, flu and other viruses. Our action plan remains in place to fight against spreading colds and flu.

Operating within the rules

Due to the nature of our business and the vulnerable clientele we visit, our photographers are vaccinated against Covid-19 and are up to date on whooping cough and when appropriate, flu vaccines.

- All customers will be required to complete a question-check prior to our arrival to ensure compliance with health guidelines.
- All our photographers are already fully vaccinated and are happy to provide proof on arrival.
- We are keeping flexible with cancellations and rescheduled shoots, so clients do not take risks with their/our health in fear of cancellation fees.
- Photographers are required to complete regular tests before back going to work when being off sick.

We also have our action plan below.

Our Action Plan - Covid-19 and beyond.

We’ve always been careful

Vulnerable people are part of our livelihood - newborns, grandparents and young children. Even before the recent global pandemic, we were washing hands and practising our own version of social distancing in order to keep everyone safe and well. Our photographers are appropriately immunised and particularly careful during the cold and flu season.

“Our reassurance to you and our staff is that we implemented a positive Covid-19 Action Plan, which we devised for customer peace of mind and safety. We would like to assure you that there is no reason to reschedule any sessions unless you are unwell, and we continue to take every precaution advised by the state and federal health sectors.” - Grain & Weave Managing Director.

Our staff continually monitor their health and we are also checking on the health of clients before attending each session. We absolutely never go to work when sick, or in the home of a sick client.

We are continually updating our plan

As the landscape develops we stay vigilant and continually monitor announcements from the government and following recommendations from the NSW department of health. We will notify any general changes on our Facebook page.

Be sure to follow us here.

At Grain & Weave, we are taking positive actions by ensuring the following procedures are in place:

  • As from January 9th 2022 we introduced:

    • Increasing RAT tests to be performed regularly by each photographer

    • Implementing easy rescheduling for clients - we are making extra days available to fit in rescheduled sessions due to sickness or close contacts

    Ongoing measures include:

  • We will contact you before and on the day of your session, to check everybody is fit and well.

  • Washing hands before, after and during each session is required of our photographers, following the recommended NSW health guidelines.

  • Masks are made available to photographers and will be used if we need to get close to you or your baby.

  • We will limit any physical contact with you, the client, as this is discouraged at this time.

  • We may require you to assist by touching or moving your baby, and we will instruct you on how best to do this to minimise our contact with your baby. If absolutely necessary, we will ask permission before touching your baby.

  • We do not ever go to work sick. We are checking our temperatures daily and will not enter a home in which people are sick, or been in direct contact with anyone who is sick or showing signs of any illness.

  • Our photographers are regularly tested and follow all appropriate guidelines.

  • We continue to practise social distancing outside of work, in the most part - this is our profession.

  • We disinfect and clean our photography equipment regularly

  • We encourage you to complete a form to check you meet our safety guidelines

  • Link to current NSW COVID-19 cases and outbreaks - please check here to see if you may be affected and notify us immediately if you are

  • Our photographers are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

  • It is preferred that only immediate members of the family, or those who reside in the household, are in attendance of in-home sessions

Above all, we are committed to the continuation of bringing your family an amazing and memorable experience!
